Classical, flamenco and pop-rock guitarists for weddings and events

The guitar is a versatile instrument that adapts to virtually any type of event and atmosphere. A classical or flamenco guitarist brings elegance and authenticity to wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours and dinners; a pop-rock guitarist adds energy and vibrancy to parties, stag and hen dos and corporate events. Many professionals are skilled in more than one style and can tailor their repertoire to suit the client's needs.

How much does it cost to hire a guitarist?

Pricing depends on the musical style, the length of the service, whether the musician performs solo or with accompaniment and travel distance.

  • Ceremony or cocktail hour (1-2 h): from €180 to €400
  • Ceremony + cocktail hour (2-3 h): from €300 to €600
  • Extended performance or full event (4-6 h): from €500 to €1,000

What's included in the service

The standard service includes travel to the venue, the instrument and, in most cases, the musician's own amplification (amplifier, cables and pedals as needed). Some guitarists also include a pre-event consultation to agree on the repertoire and performance moments, as well as a personalised song selection for the client.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a classical, flamenco and pop-rock guitarist?

A classical guitarist plays a nylon-string acoustic guitar with pieces from the classical and romantic repertoire. A flamenco guitarist uses techniques specific to flamenco (rasgueados, picados, cante) and may be accompanied by hand claps or voice. A pop-rock guitarist performs with an electric or amplified acoustic guitar and offers covers of popular current songs.

Can a flamenco guitarist perform at a modern wedding?

Yes. Flamenco is very popular at weddings, both for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. Many flamenco guitarists adapt their repertoire by combining traditional pieces with flamenco versions of well-known songs.

Does the guitarist need access to electricity?

Classical and acoustic guitarists generally do not need electricity for small or intimate spaces. Pop-rock and amplified flamenco guitarists do need access to a power outlet at the venue.

Can the guitarist perform alongside the wedding singer or DJ?

Yes. It is common for a guitarist to collaborate with a singer to form a guitar-and-voice duo, or to improvise over the DJ's set at specific moments during the evening.
