Sobre Tuna Femenina Universitaria de Oviedo

We are the Female University Tuna of Oviedo and we bring the party wherever we are called: weddings, birthdays, company dinners, formal events... and any worthy bash! We adapt to the stage: from the main stage to serenading balconies, sneaking into restaurants, parades, or bar performances. We offer a show of about 30–40 minutes (extendable), with our traditional repertoire, personalized dedications, and lots of interaction with the audience. We mainly perform throughout Asturias and, if there are no other tunas available and the plan fits, we move to neighboring communities.

Team

Our minimum formation is 5 tunas - although we usually are 7-8, and can reach up to 12 - and sometimes even colleagues from other tunas join us, so we never lack energy! We play guitar, bandurria, lute, mandolin, and tambourine, with a spirit of friendship and university passion. We all sing and play, sharing the spotlight and good vibes, creating a close and fun atmosphere.

Experience

We were born as a project in 2019 and officially became a tuna in 2022. We have already done many performances of all kinds. We have performed alongside other friendly tunas (with awards in Eindhoven and Cuenca) and in our first solo contest, we conquered the 1st prize in Aguayo 2024!

Why should they hire you?

Because a group of friends with guitars and tambourines always brings more joy than a serious choir or a generic band. We mix the classic tuna style with a fresh and youthful vibe, guaranteeing laughter, excitement, and unforgettable moments. We adapt dedications, prepare a special song if there’s time, and offer total closeness: making you feel like the stars is our mission!

Repertoire / service list

Songs: traditional tuna, boleros, rancheras, pasodobles, Asturian themes, and Latin American pieces. Formats: rounds and serenades, parades, stage concerts, and bar animations. Extras: live dedications and, if you notify us in advance, we can prepare a custom repertoire. Ask us and we’ll set it up!

Equipment, setup and transport

We only need a space (even between tables) to line up, and our acoustic sound is sufficient for most events. If the venue is huge and you require amplification, the client provides microphones and speakers. We have our own transportation (car), which may affect availability depending on routes.

Estimated prices

Standard performance (+-40 min): 300€ in Oviedo and surrounding areas. Depending on distance, an additional 50€ is added. Extended performance (≈60 min): 350€ and up. Travel: Gijón and Avilés at the same price (good connection). Further away, we add 50€ depending on the distance (Laviana: 400€, Llanes: 500€, etc.). Minimum formation: 5 people (fixed price, no discount for fewer musicians). Minimum time: 30 min (5-6 songs) (we do not go below this margin, except in exceptional cases while maintaining 300€). To the question of whether it is cheaper if fewer of us go or if we do fewer songs, the answer is NO. We do not go below five people, and contracts for less than 30 min or 5-6 songs will not be accepted. The minimum price is 300€.
