A tuna is a brotherhood of university students who wear a combination of ancient garments and perform musical themes from European and Hispanic-American folklore. ---

The "Very Illustrious, Noble, Hygienic, Galenic, and Gallant" Tuna of Medicine of Valencia was born in the late 18th century, making it the oldest Tuna in the University, housing within its ranks the finest students of the art instructed by Galen and Avicenna. It has continued and contributed to the greatness of this beautiful tradition both within and beyond Spanish borders, traveling throughout Europe and visiting distant continents, North and South America, and North Africa. It is worth highlighting our adventures bringing joy with our sounds and melodies from Valencia to Brazil or Argentina and from Morocco to Sweden, Norway, and the "tonias."
