SHELZZA AND ARMEN KUSIKIAN. Born in 2019, uniting live Armenian oriental music and singing with neoclassical Arabic dance, led by the renowned composer Armen Kusikian and the dancer and choreographer Shelzza. Presenting their proposals in different theaters and events through the idea of an intimate project where… the engine of the world… the heartbeat of love is projected.

Armen Kusikian was born in Yerevan, Armenia on August 11, 1966, into a family of musicians (his grandfather was a renowned Oud master, who predicted that he would become a musician.) At the age of 7, he began studying Accordion, and a year later he started his studies at the higher music education school. After 10 years of study and passing all subjects (Solfege, Harmony, Theory, Music History, Composition, Choir, Ensemble, Mandatory Piano, and Cello), he received the title of professional musician. Maestro Armen Kusikian possesses a unique and special style, his musical arrangements and innovative ideas continuously surprise… but undoubtedly the most anticipated and awaited year after year are his Baladis that have an unmistakable stamp… almost unpredictable in terms of musical passages, cuts, variations, and structure.
