Description

The Orkestra Kanalla (OK) is an original and different version group. A project focused on entertaining the public through music, humor and participation. The mission: To make the public vibrate through a careful selection of musical pieces framed in the pop-rock-funk-rumba-disco imaginary of the last fifty years (mainly from the '90s-'00s). Of course, always preserving an underground and rogue touch in the staging. We come from Badalona and surroundings (BCN) and we have been involved in music for a lot of years. Each un@ exploring sounds from their niche, from classical music and jazz, to folk, pop, rock, rumba or also through hardcore, funk or punk. Anything goes in our background, everything adds up. We are united by friendship, love for music, the desire to have a good time and to make it have a good time, and this is distilled in the live performance. Our proposal is aimed at major festivals, festivals, private parties, business events or any public or private event that aims to make the attending public vibrate with a differential proposal.

Team

The OK is made up of 9 musicians, all of them with extensive experience of more than 25 years in the world of music. Below we present the musicians, their role in the orchestra and their most outstanding projects: Raquel Piernas: Vocals and backing vocals (Lost, Tokyo 22, Hitabaldaäs, The Crow Show, regular collaborator duet format with Toni Saigi "Chupi", Tina Turner Tribut -backing vocals-) Oscar Quesada – guitar (Lost, The Crow Show) Josep Fulquet: Lead guitar (Gums, Peepshow PerVersions, Dejá Vú, DeLaMar, Margot) Victor Cobo: Bass and vocals (Bremen, 9hz) David Ortega: saxophone, vocals and backing vocals (La Inoxidable Marching Band, Chamaleons) Mar Serra: Keyboards and backing vocals (Guillem Soler, Martí Serra, Mar Serra Grup) Ariane Cornadó: Vocals and backing vocals (Sense Filtro) Álex Gallego: Vocals, guitar, percussion, effects, frontman (Que pum que pam, Julia y los Gordos, DJ TeSales) Jordi Blanch: Drums (Sick Bastards, Hitabaldaäs, Mute Off, The Crow Show)

Experience

The Kanalla Orchestra has been touring different stages for seven years, especially in Catalonia, where the orchestra resides. Now, after making a lot of fun and assembling our repertoire and our live performance, this year 2025 we intend to take a leap beyond our region and be able to show our live and our kanallismo to infinity and beyond. During these years we have performed at major festivals, private events (birthday parties, weddings) and various events (Infecta Film Festival, Disconcert Clap)

Equipment, setup and transport

The OK does not have its own lighting and sound equipment, therefore, this requirement must be assumed by the contractor. At the backline level, the OK does have it. However, if the contracted event already has its own backline (shared event) or an agreement is reached on the provision of part or all of it to facilitate travel, it would be a way of saving on transport.

Estimated prices

The hiring price of the Orkestra Kanalla is 3000€. This is the price of the orchestra's cache, in addition, the expenses derived from travel (mileage), subsistence and accommodation if necessary (provided that the contracted event exceeds 100km in distance) must be considered.
