Dúo Doramas is a musical group originally from Gran Canaria, composed of two musicians from the island's Conservatory. Its artistic proposal revolves around the timple and the guitar, instruments that combine with mastery to offer a versatile repertoire full of nuances, ranging from traditional Canarian music to other popular and contemporary genres. Both members of the duo have had a notable presence in emblematic television programs such as Tenderete and Noche de Taifas, where they have shared their talent with a wide audience, contributing to the dissemination of Canarian music and culture. The Doramas Duo declares itself deeply influenced by the musical legacy of maestro José Antonio Ramos, whose innovative vision of timple and commitment to tradition has been a constant source of inspiration in his career. Following that path, the duo combines respect for the roots with an open and creative look towards new forms of musical expression.

The history of the Doramas Duo is born from the meeting of two children in the corridors of the Conservatory of Gran Canaria. From a very young age they shared the same passion: the love for the timple, that great little instrument that, although little known outside the archipelago, resonated in their hearts with strength and meaning. Between classes, rehearsals and melodies, they were weaving a deep friendship, based not only on music, but on the dreams that little by little they dared to tell: playing together, composing, going on stage, taking the sound of the timple to new horizons. They dreamed of more than just notes; They dreamed of making art a way of life. Today, after years of training, dedication and a long career that has led them to participate in programs such as Tenderete or Noche de Taifas, those two children continue to walk together, now turned into professional musicians, trying to achieve what they always wanted: to excite, share and leave a mark through their music. They choose to call themselves Dúo Doramas as a tribute to the Doramas Forest, that ancient forest that once covered the north of Gran Canaria. A symbol of deep roots, untamed nature and living heritage. So is his music: born from the earth, grown with passion, and open to the world with the intact illusion of his early days
