Description

Calle Manigua is a percussion, dance and theater group. We come from the depths of the jungle to bring the powerful ancestral rhythms of Africa and Latin America. Characters use their powerful moves to cast a spell on the public. Calle Manigua is a step beyond the concept of Batucada.

Team

Company of 6 to 13 artists. Decked out in colorful costumes and powerful makeup, these jungle warriors will win your heart.

Experience

- Currently contracted by Megaparck for the entire 2025 season 1-3 times per week. - First prize at Percumon 2025 international festival of Afro-Brazilian percussion. Valencia - Exhibition at Axé Brasil 2025. Granada -Inauguration of Motorworld Mallorca 2025. - Booking as artists in Aainjaa for Romania, Nice and Milan 2024 and 2025. - Xesc Forteza Theater, gala of the fight global AIDS campaign. December 2024 - Circus of Cultures Festival October 2024 - Tárrega, Theatre Fair, September 2024 and 2022. - A multitude of private events such as weddings, popular festivals, team bilding, carnival, Three Kings parade etc... - 2nd prize at Percumon, international festival of Afro-Brazilian music in 2022. Valencia - We shared the main stage with Homero Cortes, at the samba festival Coburg 2022, one of the largest Afro-Brazilian music festivals in Europe. - 3 prize in Talent Night 2022.

Equipment, setup and transport

-Different types of percussion instruments where the batucada drums stand out. -We do shows with LED lights or ultraviolet makeup. Requires a lighting technician. - Fire juggling shows. - We have a dancer with Led Wings that accompanies the show. - Sometimes depending on the show we include other instruments such as accordion or digeridu.

Estimated prices

-Standard performance of 6 to 8 artists 1500 euros. From 4 to 30 min in fixed shows. ( VAT not included) - Stage show with LED lights, LED wings and UV make-up 3500 e. - Itinerant 2500 euros.
